Catie Oryl

Catie represents individuals and businesses with a focus on corporate and business transactions, including corporate structure, entity formation, and taxation. She has experience in assisting multistate clients in corporate reorganizations and tax matters, ranging from state and local tax compliance, tax credits, and audit defense. Catie's extensive knowledge of state and local taxes allows her to provide valuable financial insights to clients. Further, Catie has worked with clients in a wide variety of industries, including hospitality, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare.

After receiving her Bachelor's in Business Administration from The Catholic University of America, Catie earned her J.D. in 2014 from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. In addition to her studies, she completed an International Public Policy externship with Facebook and served as a member of the Journal of Law, Economics, and Policy. After graduation, Catie worked with the Council on State Taxation in Washington, D.C. She later joined Ernst & Young, LLP in Nashville, Tennessee, where she worked in the indirect tax department for seven years. Like our managing partner Talbott, Catie is a Louisiana native and has lived in Nashville since 2016.

Catie is admitted to practice law in Tennessee.
